Great Falls High School Heritage Foundation

Email message from Darrell Swanson:
Thanks for including the update about the three new windows in the library and the fact that GFHS is now on the historical registry. Fellow architect Phil Faccenda (cc’d) and I founded the Great Falls High School Heritage Foundation a few years ago with the purpose of preserving our school. They are the first two projects of the organization. The document required for the national registry was over 40 pages of school history with old (treeless) and recent photos. The windows took considerable research and negotiation.
The mission statement for GFHS-HF is:
“The Great Falls High School Heritage Foundation is a non-profit advocacy and resource corporation committed to the preservation of the architectural heritage of the Great Falls High School campus through the historically sensitive advancement of a creative learning environment and the support of academic, artistic, athletic and capital improvements not adequately funded by other public, or private sources”
GFHS-HF will benefit with more members and donations for the three windows that are not yet fully funded. (Please click here for the application).
